Bald Mountain Golf Course is a Public, 27 hole golf facility located in Lake Orion, Michigan. The facility has the 18-hole Regulation Course and the 9-hole Executive Nine Course.
The Executive Nine Course at Bald Mountain Golf Course first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by Ken Wilson.
The Executive Nine offers the same quality of putting surfaces as the Regulation Course, though they are nearly void of the undulations and double tiers often found on the championship design. This is a good place for beginners to hone their game, and also is a relaxing and quick round for those without the time to play 18. The length of holes ranges from 105 to 252 yards.
The course plays to a par-29 for men and par-31 for women though both use the same tee boxes on a course that measures 1,471 yards.
Bald Mountain Golf Course closed in 2015.
The course is slated to become a 338-lot Pulte Homes development called Bald Mountain.

This is a good short game practice course. It is most likely not a good course for anyone who is good at golf.
It is an extemely short(par 29) but it gives you lots of practice at your short game (pitch and putt). The greens are small.
I normally play 2-3 balls per hole because it is usually not very crowded. Great for beginners and younsters to get their feet wet.

I am a senior lady and play a league on this course. It is great for us older folks just to spend time with our friends doing something we love. Club personnel are very congenial. For an executive course in amature play it is ideal.
